Knife blocks are solid wood of hexagonal or octagonal shape, normally American walnut wood is used (black walnut) wengè or peer wood. The main body houses knives with different use, from paring knife to fillet knife and kitchen accessories such as scissors, fork, rather than the steel to keep the cutting edge alive . The block is mounted on a ball bearing swivel base for easy access to tools. Inside this there is a smaller block that can be removed using a handle, with steak knives. A blade locking system ensures safe transport to the table. These blocks are all unique pieces or can be made to measure with the possibility of choosing materials and work tools.
